Angelos UPDATED. Getting closer to the end of this chapter. I've already begun working on next week's update, and it's coming out great.
Next week, I'm going to be updating the Art section of my site with the sketches I made when I was away. There is a few of them, so I might do one a day, everyday next week.
Anyway, I'm out, and I hope you enjoy the update.

Hello. I'm back. How did it go for me? Great, it was fun. However, there is much to be said about coming home. I'm glad I'm back, and I'm ready to get back into my old schedule. Currently, I'm finishing up the building of a new computer (waiting on the graphics card), but I will have an update this Friday. I hope to finally bring Chapter 1 of Angelos to conclusion, so I can decide where to go from there.
Also, expect a lot of new pen sketches being posted on the website, since I was able to work on some stuff while I was gone. I got really good at working straight with a pen, and I only made minimal mistake. Drawing with a pen is fun, I recommend you folks try it.
Other stuff I did while I was gone? Well, I was able to see Spiderman 2, and it suffices to say that the movie was probably one of the greatest I've ever seen. I'm hoping to catch up on any other movies I missed while I was gone (such as Hellboy, Vanhellsing, etc.) and also catch up on my webcomic reading.
That's all for now, I'll see you on Friday.

Angelos UPDATED. It seems, however, that I won't be able to finish chapter 1 as I wished. I'm actually leaving a day early (tomorrow), so I'm going to try to finish the few pages that are left (I might have to forego shading them). I do have to pack and all that other stuff, so I might not get it done.
I want to thank my readers for visiting my site, and I hope you guys will return to my site 6 months from now, once I'm back. Feel free to leave tag board messages, since I'm hoping I'll have sporadic internet access so that I might come visit my site myself and respond.
It's weird how life is, huh? I sometimes wish that I'd had a brother who liked to draw as well. That would have made life so much easier. As it is, my sisters have no talent, plus I don't think I want them to have access to my website's server. For all I know, they'll turn my site PINK :p Anyway, once I get back, I'm going to try and find some collaborators to help me with the run of the website and updates, maybe that way, you'll never get such a long stretch of lack of updates when I have to go away. Oh well, something to think about. I'll see you later folks, wish me luck.

Angelos UPDATED. This one came out pretty good, except for the second panel. Which I hate, btw. That panel gave me so much trouble, that I eventually settled for what you see there. I'm a little disappointed in myself. Other than that, the story is moving right along. Good stuff all around, some sexual innuendos, jokes, curses. Got to love it. Enjoy.

Made this fan art drawing for the comic DASSIEN, which I felt like sharing with you all as well. It came out pretty nice; it's been a while since I've drawn a superhero, using my old comic drawing style.

I got a treat for you guys! Another UPDATE of Angelos the fallen. I'm up to page 40, so that means I have about 5-6 pages to end this chapter. Damn, I hope I make it, before the 18th. I'm pushing myself hard to finish, hopefully I won't disappoint. Enjoy.
Edited (22:34) Fixed a bit of the text in page 40. What I had before was bugging me, so I fixed it.

Angelos UPDATED, just like I promised. Woke up ungodly early this morning, and I was able to put the finishing touches of the page. It came out rather nice, and I must pat myself in the back for some really nice hair shadding. New character introduced: Angelos's father. Who or what he is, may be obvious to some, but his story won't unfold until way, way later on. Enjoy.
Man, it's been terribly cold these past few days, and this coming from a person who normally loves the cold! Here's hoping that it'll get warmer by Feb 18. Later folks.

Minor site maintenance; I got Paint Shop Pro 6 today, and I wanted to try it out. As you can see, I changed the page's top images- made them look spify, if I do say so myself. I also cleaned out my links page (way to measy).
Also, expect another Angelos UPDADTE tomorrow afternoon. Like I said, I'm trying to finish chapter one quickly, and today is your lucky week of multiple updates.

Ok. Angelos UPDATED. I realize this update is a week late, but I have a good reason. Like I mentioned before, I'm going to be gone for about 5 months and I'm trying really hard to get Chapter 1 done (Angelos). So, last week I was able to sketch out 3 pages ahead of schedule. I'm going to try to do even more in the coming week, so that I'll definetly finish the chapter before I go. The good news for you guys is, that in some weeks, you might get 2 updates (heck, even 3 updates) in bi-weekly progression.
Another thing on the agenda today is to talk about plagiarism and the stealing of other people's work. Up to today, I've had 3 cases of people actually taking my stuff and trying to pass it off as their own. I find this sad. For one thing, I really don't like people stealing my stuff, which I work hard to create- it makes me sad that they would steal my hard work :(. Secondly, I feel sad for them, because instead of having the guts to try and make drawings of their own, they have to steal in order to feel validated; it must be shallow validation though, since it's not like they actually made the drawings, and in their mind, they know they didn't do it. I just don't understand people like that sometimes. Oh well, that's enough of a rant for today.
OH, btw, in case you didn't notice folks. I have changed the update schedule to Mondays. (I'm actually allocating times in the weekend to work on the comic; way to go work ethic ;)

Can't sleep for some reason, so I decided to make a wallpaper from what has become one of my favorite movies, UNDERWORLD. I got the DVD Last tuesday and I've seen it about 4 times; I just can't get enough of it, I really love Vampires and Lycanthrope myths- so I'm a double sucker for this movie :)
Anyway, the reason for this post is because I made this Underworld wallpaper and on the off chance that any of my readers love the movie as much as me, I have decided to put it up. It's for resolutions running at 1280x1204- which is the resolution I use. Hope you like it.

In case I don't see, good morning, good evening, and goodnight.

Angelos update. This one came out pretty nice I think. Luzbel's pose in the final panel was supposed to be a kickboxing stand, but I'm not sure if I got the pose correctly. Anyway, enjoy.
Now, time for a rant. I know I put my email out for the world to see when I included it in the feedback and doa sign up, but that does not mean people should take it and spam me to death. Someone from Rutgers, apparently getting extra cash by spamming people's email, must have come to my site, seen my email, and decided it would be fun to use it in order for him to get money. Two words for you, DAMN YOU. Really, I'm not exaggerating, my email has been bombarded with spam, so I for some chance I don't check one day, the next day I can expect to see about 400 spam emails. I went away for a week and I came back to about 1700 spam messages in my server. But, it's not just spam that I get, but people have been sending me viruses; quite a lot actually, that my norton must have had to delete about more than 10 of them. It's sad, since I've had to drastically lower my email's storage space to almost nothing so that the number of spam won't be so great, that if I actually get any real emails, they might get lost in the proccess; anyone that's really interested in my site and stuff might not be able to reach me.
I wish I could write this off by saying, "oh well, that's life." But it's not, people should have the decency and morals to realize that spamming is EVIL and you spammers wouldn't enjoy getting a million spam messages in you inbox either.
That's all for today, peace out.

Happy new year everyone. It's been a while since I've updated and I do apologize for that. Heh, I probably lost a lot of readers that way, but hey, what can you do.
Anyway, Angelos has been updated.
I'm going to try real hard to finish this chapter before next month, since after that I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be able to update for like 5 months. Why? Well, I'm shipping out (I'm in the US National Guard) and my time has come for me to go to basic, among other things. After that I'm probably going to go to OCS, so that will also keep me away from home. I'm not sure if I'll have access to a scanner down at the Fort where I'll be training, so I don't think I'll be able to update, but I will try to find out.
Anyway, I need ideas to cover that long hiatus. I was thinking of having my sister update my site, with drawings/comics people might want to submit. I don't really know any other artists, so there is no one I could ask to fill in. If you have any ideas, just put them on the tag board. Thanks, and enjoy the update.

Do you want the good news or the bad news first? Good news? Well, I've started my two weeks training at my new job. The bad news? Well, the timing is really nasty; for one thing, my day is looking something like this: 9:00 am I have to be at the office with my day ending at about 6:00 pm. Factor in the 2 hours travel time to and from the job, and you can see I have very little time. Next week is looking even bleaker, since we are field training from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. That's 12 hours....sigh. What this means is that I'm hoping to get one update done this week, and then go on about a two week hiatus. If that wasn't enough, I have jury duty tomorrow.
I'm a so so sorry, and well, I won't blame you if you get sick of me and never visit my site again. Gomen.

Ok, I've been holding on to this information for a while. I was recently hired by American Income Life Insurance Corp. This is the single most factor of why the updates have been late, and will be even later this week. You see, I've been going to classes so that I could take my Life Producers Exam and get my liscence from the state of NJ. This is the final week of classes; it is then followed by the exam, which I'm taking on Saturday. The material is pretty wordy and mind bending (i.e., boring as heck), that I've been spending my time reading and re-reading the material (damn, feels like I'm back in college). I do, however, have worked on the update when time allowed, and I'm hoping to have it done by tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest.
I'm trying to make the update extra special (i.e., pretty) so that you may forgive me... :(

Angelos updated. You know, I've been updating every Monday for the past few weeks, haven't it? I was thinking of changing the update schedule to Mondays, however, I'm still hoping I'll be able to catch up to my old schedule and update Thursdays, so I'm still shooting for Thursday updates, even if I do have to push them to Mondays most of the time.
BTW, if you like playing computer games, I suggest you get Max Payne 2. That game is genious; the storyline is gripping and the game engine is rock solid. Using the Havock physics engine makes the game come alive; plus, it's fun to kill using bullet time :)

What!! Could it be? Do you dare believe your eyes!? OMG, an update!! Hehe, seriously though, I know this one was majorly late, but then again, you guys know that stuff happens, so I may tend to be late now and again (translation=always :) Anyway, this one came out pretty nice, so I hope it was worth the wait for anyone who still reads my comic :( The end of chapter one is getting closer and closer. OOH, the suspense :)
That's pretty much it. Wait, did I tell you guys I'm having my third interview on Thursday? Well, wish me luck, because I really, really want to work with the company interviewing me. No, I'm not crazy for wanting to work ;) Because, if I do get the job, I'll be making lots of moola, which is awesome, especially since WOW is just around the corner and I could really use a broadband connection, plus it also looks like a cool place to work with an awesome atmosphere. Also, I'm hoping to do at least 3 pages of Angelos, so that I will have a sort of update padding. One more thing, for any artists reading this, I will be posting something tomorrow about a joint project I want to create; depending on the level of interest, it might actually become a reality.

Angelos updated. There are times where I so wished I had assistants. This update could have been done a lot sooner if I did. Sigh, too bad they don't pay me to do this and I have assistants to help :( Anyway, I do apologize, but when it comes to real life, I have to concentrate on that before the comic. I love doing it, don't get me wrong, but if need be, I will choose for the page to be late, as opposed to missing real life stuff. Anyway, hope you enjoy this one, although it's pretty light in dialogue; kind of hard for people to talk during a battle :) Damn, did I mention to you guys how much I hate doing battles? Too many things to draw, and it's so hard to make it look good, but I think this one came out way, way better than my original battle scenes, don't you think?
I'm finally back on track, so if nothing gets in my way before then, the next update will be on Thursday, next week. Until then, peace.

Welcome to the first ever edition of, "The life of an update SHOW."
APPLAUSE
Ladies and gentlemen, as you can already tell, the update is going to be one day late. Not to worry though, the producers of Angelos the fallen have put the following documentary for your viewing pleasure.
Many of you have an idea of the steps required to bring you a page of angelos the fallen. Some of you may not; either way, get ready for an intersting, inside look at the business of updating a page.
The first step in creating an update page, is visualizing it. The artist creates a set of mental panels, hoping to find the right balance and inspiration to create the update. Many times, this task can be frustrating, since the artist's mind may wander around, refuse to be creative, or just think up garbage (This process can take up to from 5 minutes to as long as 3 hours). Once the artist has a semblance of a page in his mind, he can then begin writing the script for said page.
The script is an essential part of the update, because he wants to further and also be true to the overall storyline. Here the artist writes down the dialogue which he considers appropriate for the mental panels he has in his mind. The script length can vary depending on the update; some may have a few short pieces of dialogue, while others will have lengthy conversations. (The heavy conversation scripts are the most important, because the writer is attempting to wrap up previous plot holes and/or start new ones. This process can take 30 minutes or as long as 2 hours.
After the script is finished, the artist begins working on the page itself. Many times, the artist, despite having the best mental images, will not be able to efficiently translate them to paper; many artists are unable to do this- try this at home: Think of an image you may want to draw, be it a girl in a certain pose, a jumping dog, or a cat playing with a ball of yarn. You will notice that having an image in your head, however clear, doesn't mean you'll be able to draw what you see in your head. Luckily for us, the artist of Angelos TF is very good at copying his mental images, and is able to re-create them pretty closely on paper; this helps cut down on the drawing time. The tools the artist uses at this stage are a simple pencil (2hb), mars eraser, and a white sheet of paper.
Here, the styles vary. Some artists use a bubble techinique to create the basic shapes of the objects they are trying to draw, be it humans or something else. Other artists like to do wire frames to create their human figures, while others prefer to draw draw small lines, sketching out the outlines of his figures. AngelosOne, however, is able to freehand his way into the drawing. What this means is, that he pretty much draws straight into the paper, creating the images you see, pretty much on his first try. He does, however, from time to time, make use of the bubble method, when he is stuck in a particularly difficult pose. His early sketches, however, are mostly outlines, as he often puts the details when he reworks the lines of the origianl outline.
Here is an example of the finished pencil product, before it is inked. Sketch of tomorrow's udpate (don't click if you don't want to be spoiled) This process can take from 3 hours up to 6 hours.
After the pencil work is done, the artist begins to ink it. Here, he is able to fix any mistakes he might have previously made, as well as cleaning up the overall drawing. It is also at this stage, where the artist might start adding extra detailing, cross hatching, etc. Once the inking is done, the artist let's it sit for half an hour, so that the ink may dry. After the drawing is fully dry, any of the pencil lines left over are erased. The inking process can take from 2-5 hours, depending on the number of details that have to be inked.
At this point, the artist is done with conventional mediums and must digitize his work. He scans it and sends it to Photoshop. In Photshop, he cleans up any mistakes that might have happend during inking. He then begins to work with the brush palette. Because the artist prefers to work in grayscale, he has to carefully find the right shades of gray to create the awesome shading you have seen in previous updates. At this point, the artist also includes any special effects the page might need. This process can take from 3 hours up to 6 hours, depending on how figure heavy the page is.
The page is then resized to it's 900x700 standard. It is at this time when the script is added. The process is fairly simple and is the quickest one; taking only half an hour tops. The page is saved in jpeg format, keeping the highest quality possible, without making the file too big.
As the final step, the image is uploaded into the server, the webmaster then works on fixing the appropriate links and pages to accomodate the new update.
There you have it folks. I hope you enjoyed this program and maybe, just maybe, you have learned a few things you didn't know before. Good night, and see you again on the next edition of, "The life of an Update SHOW."

Well, interesting piece of news happened yesterday. It seems some hacker was able to break into a Valve computer and steal the Half life 2 code. Apparently, the stolen source is nearly complete, totalling 177mbs of raw code. Now that is a lot of code. What does this mean? Well, in the short term, the game is going to be delayed even further; cheaters will have cheats ready long before the game is ready, and STEAM will be a worthless piece of crap now that it's security is compromised. Long term? Well, I'm pretty sure the code will be "borrowed" by other game companies without actually having to pay royalties. Modify a bunch of lines here an there, and they can pass it off as their own. Valve is definetly going to lose money in this. Also, I'm pretty sure some zealot will try to get the code to actually run as a game; this will take lots of work, such as getting the textures, etc, and compiling it. Frankly, while I admit, the hacker was pretty clever in the way he went about breaking into Valve (an OUtlook viewer bug-which can be fixed btw, so go patch it if you use it), he has pretty much encoured the wrath of many gamers everywhere; and some of the gamers are also hackers. I do hope, that he gets what's coming to him, and when they find him, he gets some poetic justice....if you know what I mean.
Also, update is pushed to Monday, mostly because I haven't had time to work on the page this week.

Angelos updated. Damn, this update came out nice, but man, was it ever a bitch to do. Lots of soldiers, and lots or armor. Inking alone took me 2 hours; the shading too me about 5 hours!! Damn. The drawing itself probably took like 2-3 hours, while writing the script took like 40 minutes. A whopping totalt of 10 hours and 40 minutes. You better damn well enjoy it !! Seriously though, I do hope you guys like it.
In other news.....nothing much actually. Got homeworld 2 and well, have gotten my ass handed to me a couple of times in some mission. Man, this game is hard as heck. Oh, I also got Enter the Matrix game, and it's not so bad as people said. It could have been a lot better, but it's still a fun little game, and doing all that bullet time martial arts is pretty cool. That's all for now, later.

Angelos update. Artist blocks really suck, but at least it's over now; heck, not only did I get over this block, but I kicked the crap out of it, since this update came out extremely nice. I'm really proud of it. Enjoy :)
On a side note, I did go see UNDERWORLD. A few words of advice- go see it. It's an awesome movie, especially if you like vampire mythos; I love both vampire and lycander mythos, so this movie was a must see for me. I'm not going to spoil it for you, but if you've seen the trailer, you know it's about a war between Vampires and Lycans- surprisingly, the story behind why the war started is cool and it adds depth to the movie. Regardless of what reviewers might say, I liked the fact that the movie was story heavy; it made it more than just another action flick. Not that the action sequences were bad; heck, they were downright awesome. Sure, they did borrow a lot from the matrix (slow mo fights, slow mo gun fights). Everytime I saw Selene in that hot leather outfit, I had Trinity flashbacks. (Which is not a bad thing, since both women look hot in leather :) I do have one complain though: they used way too many guns; when I went to watch it, I was expecting the vamps to throw down with the lycans man to man, mano a mano, but many (most) of the fights they were just shooting at each other. The few physical battles they did have, however, were just plain sweet; the lycan transformation was so freaking cool, while the vampires had the blue eye/teeth transformation going for them. The ending of the movie just basically screams sequel, so I'm crossing my fingers that this movie will do well enough (money wise) that they'll go forth and make the sequel. To help them out a bit, I'm probably going to go see it a few more times :)

Angelos updated.
You know, I've been updating every Friday for the past 3 weeks, I might as well switch to a Friday update schedule. LOL. But knowing me, I'll probably start updating Saturdays then. So, to cover all my bases, I've set the update schedule to THURSDAYS or FRIDAYS.
Anyhow, about today's update, the first 2 panels are supposed to be a memory, and I tried to make it feel like a memory; I just don't know if I pulled it off. Also, my background work is getting better and better, and I'm quite happy about that.
On the home front, I just got 3 more PC games, which officially makes me addicted to video games. I must have bought like 12 in this year alone, bringing my total PC game collection to 112. (That's not counting my console video game collection, which brings my game total to about 300 or so games). What games did I buy? I got TRON 2.0 (I loved the movie :), Hitman2, and Gunlock (an old game). So far, TRON is an awesome game with super cool looking graphics. Hitman 2 is also a sweet game, with extremely nice graphics that rely heavily on textures; man 'o man, some of those textures are almost freaky, so detailed. Gunlock I have not started yet, but I'll probably get some play time this weekend.
Heh, guess what? I plan to buy 2 more games in the coming month. Homeworld 2 and Half life2. Those games have been on my most wanted list ever since I played the originals, so you can imagine it's been years of waiting. So far, the games look like they won't dissappoint me. Once I get them, I can start waiting again for HW3 and HL3 :).

As promised, Angelos is updated.
One of the reasons why I decided to temporarily go back to once a week updates, besides the time issues, is what you see in today's update. I'm trying to up the quality of my comic to a higher degree than ever before; this means more extensive backgrounds, better shading, better details, etc. I feel that by switching to once a week updates, I'll be able to devote more time to each page and thus, able to bring you guys better looking pages. Hopefully, as some time goes by and like artists are wont to do, I improve my speed, I'll be able to go back to twice a week updates without any loss of quality.
Thanks for reading, and I'll see you Thursday.

Well, many of you might be aware that yesterday (August 14), the North Eastern part of the US was hit with a big ass rolling blackout; supposedly it affected 55 million people, extending from Canada and as far as Michigan. It hit around 4 o'clock, and the power didn't come back until some time this friday morning. Living in NJ, meant I was hit with this as well, so that pretty much killed any chance I had to work on the comic. Will I have it ready for tonight? Well, that's a tough question, which I have no answer for. I'm going to work as fast as I can, but I have plans for later this evening, which decreases the amount of time I have. If I can't get it done today, you guys will have to wait until monday, because this weekend is going to be busy. My sister is flying in from Chicago, so I have too many things to do.
I apologize for this inconvinience.

A couple of things. First, due to time constraints I'm going to (temporarily) have to go back to once a week updates. Updates will come every Thursday nights. Once I free up some time, I'll go back to the regular twice a week updating schedule.
Second, this week's update won't be ready until Thursday, but, since I didn't want to leave you guys hanging, I actually took the time to scan in an Angelos painting for you. It was done in acrylic on a 24"x32" canvas; I made it back in my college days (2001). You might notice a bit of mismatch in some parts, and that's because I had to scan it in pieces (my scanner is not that big). I tried to adjust the contrast between the parts as best I could, but there was only so much I could do. It still looks pretty good, so take a look at it.

Finally, an update. I know it took a while, but with the monitor business and me trying to work on my submission for TokyoPop(doesn't seems like I will be submitting something. I have the idea and some pages, but I'm feeling kind of meh about it). Enjoy the update. And see you Thursday, unless I get majorly lazy.

Bad News
- Updated by AngelosOne
Why is it that when you are always short on money, problems like this pop up. What problem? Well, it seems my monitor is dying on me. As you might imagine, I'm writing this not on my own computer (using a friend"s) because my monitor is starting to crap out. It basically works for the first 5 minutes or so, then it starts doing a weird flashing, and then goes blank. After I leave it unplugged for a few hours, it does the same thing, work for five minutes, and poof, blank.
With that said, it is impossible for me to work on the update, since I can't use Photoshop, my scanner, or anything else I use for the comic. Like I said, money is short, so I'm hoping this little problem is just a random, today only kind of problem. Hopefully tomorrow it'll all be fixed :) Sigh, I wish. Anyway, I guess I now have to start looking for a cheap monitor and start saving up for it. I don't think it'll take too long (but I'm probably going to order it online-so it might take a while to get here) so, I'm not sure when the updates will continue. Hopefully, you guys won't forget my site while I face this little dilemma.
On a brighter note, I have decided to work on a submission for TokyoPop's Rising stars of Manga contest. Yep, I'm crossing my fingers so that my stuff will win something, and help pay for the monitor. Well, I'll talk to you guys later.

Angelos updated. For this one, I sort of went back to my roots. I have noticed that I've become too minimalistic when it comes to faces; a drawback of adopting an anime/manga style. Well, I'm not sure if you will notice or not, but I added more details to certain parts of the face. Hopefully as I continue to improve on small things like these (mixing western and japanese styles) the comic will benefit. Until then, enjoy.

Better late than never. Here is the update. I actually had to fight this one tooth and nail. I can't believe how many times I erased, redrew, only to erase again. The panels just didn't want to flow together. Well, after a few hours, I manage to pull this update together. It didn't come out bad at all.

Rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated. I actually got back on Tuesday, but I ran into a writers block, so I put it off for today. However, I went to the Bronx Zoo and saw Terminator 3, which pretty much left me no time. BTW, Terminator 3 is an awesome movie; I recommend you go watch it. Anyway, there is going to be an update tomorrow.

Lore Info
- Updated by AngelosOne
The discussion is, "Y'know, Heaven is rapidly starting to turn into "Earth with bird-people". I mean with the trees and the aging and the bein' able to die and all. This is a bad thing."
First, we must put this all in context. In my opinion, our world (Earth, people, trees, animals) has a parallel in anything that relates to Heaven. For one thing, you have myths that clearly depict heaven as a green Eden, such as the Elyssian fields, etc., etc. For thousands of years, people have also always had the idea of Heaven as the perfect, natural place, where everyone is happy. The Bible even says that we, humans, are created in God's image. So, based on this, I constructed my heaven as a parallel to Earth, but this does not mean it is Earth.
The aging of Angels....Well, I've always been a great believer that we learn through experience. So, I decided to give Angels a childhood in which they learn from their parents and their society. This does not mean Angels die. In my mytho, Angels grow until a certain age, and then time literally stops for them; from that point on, they live eternally. Why did I go this route? Well, mostly because I don't like the idea of them being born all knowing adults.
This brings us to what type of Immortality Angels have. Do they live forever? Yes. Are they indestructible? No. Based on my depictions of the war and such, you've seen Angels die. Once again, do not confuse this with Earth. Those swords are not mere metal; these are heavenly weapons that can inflict damage to their makers. The war, while simplified does not parallel a human war either; if you include time differences, a two day war in heaven could equal 1000 human years. After all, Who else would have the power to kill Angels, but Angels themselves? Would a human weapon hurt an Angel? No, like I said, you have to think of degrees. Humans and their weapons are way below the power of Angels. Can an Angel weapon kill humans? Of course, but you have to think of degrees as well. Imagine the destructive force an Angel sword has in order to kill an Angel. Now, using that on a human would be overkill (you would probably take out five city blocks along with the poor bastard)
The Noctis issue. Why are Noctis able to hurt Angels? In my heaven, and in my view in general, there are always two sides to everything. There is always Light and Darkness. Noctis are the Shadow's version of Angels. Thus, with this in mind, it only makes sense that an opposite polar force, should be able to hurt the other. Angels can kill Noctis, and Noctis can kill Angels. (I find that thinking of Jedi and Syth makes it easier to understand :)
The wrap this all up, I will end by saying that I've never considered Heaven to be all fluffy clouds, with Angels playing harps and such. My Angels are clearly advanced (in a manner of speaking) technologically wise, as seen by the cloud city in the first pages; of course, you are asking, if they are so advanced, why do they still use swords ;) Well, the answer is quite simple, they have no need for anything else. Swords serve Angels in protecting Heaven from Noctis attacks; there are no wars(the current one being the exception) in Heaven, no killings, no need to get better weapons. They, unlike us humans, don't need to keep inventing ways to kill each other. In the end, Heaven to me is a higher, purer, plane of existence than Earth. Oh, also, the reason why Heaven parallels Earth so much, is because good souls go to heaven after all, so what better place to greet them, than a perfect version of Earth? Oh, btw, in my Universe, humans who go to heaven don't become Angels. Angels are a race apart.
Wow, I know I wrote a lot, so I'll just end by giving you this last tidbit: that Tree in the latest pages is not what it seems. It's a metaphor I should finish wrapping up by the next update.

In order to commemorate my site reaching 10k visitors(50 more to go from now), I've gone back and reworked some of the Angelos's pages. I've fixed some text errors, added certain differences in what they said, as well as making it much more easier to read. I've also added certain shadings I had missed previously. All in all, the story, I think, is much better for it. Later, and thanks for visiting ;)

I apologize for the non update, but I've reached a point in the story, where I really have to take a step back and see if the story is falling in place. I'm at the point where I have to consider adding this new idea that just came up; the problem is making it fit. So, the next update will be on Monday.
Don't think I will leave you without anything pretty to look at though. Here is a new character sketch I just finished. It features Angelos(his hair is supposed to be black, but I used a pen to make this one, and coloring in with a pen is annoying) and a character you will see in the future.
Hope you like it. (It's been added to the art section as well.)

As promised, an Angelos update. This one was a major pain in the ass. Battle scenes suck; you have way too many characters, which makes it hard to focus on their details, which in turn makes me feel like the drawing looks like crap. Oh yeah, I must warn you guys, the drawings will be getting a bit more graphical in terms of violence (death and carnage). Use your discretion.

Now you can post your thoughts easily, through the small tagboard on top. There, you can tell me about what you thought of the latest comic, respond to something I mentioned in my rants, ask questions about upcoming storylines(don't expect me to spill all the beans though), or even provide constructive critisism. Now, I better go play some more of the Warcraft3 FT beta, since it looks like it's going to wrap up in a few weeks. Later.

Sorry about not updating. Unfortunately, it turns out my best friend accepted a job offer in Washington DC this friday. Well, to make a long story short, the offer came on short notice and he has been busy with packing (With my help, it's taken even longer ;). All the while, we tried to get together with all our friends for a farewell, since he is leaving today. Suffice it to say, I haven't really had time to finish the drawing, but even if I had time, I doubt I can do it in this semi-depressed state I'm in.
You have to understand, this is my best friend; whom I have known since grammar school. We live like 2 blocks away from each other. We went to the same grammar school and high school together. Even though we went to different colleges, we still kept in touch. We got the same summer jobs together(well, one summer we did). I'm going to miss him, even though I still disagree with his taste in women, I like my women slim and blonde, while he tends to like those curvaceous women with black hair ;) Well, it's not like we wont' see each other every now and then when he comes to visit, but still, it's just not the same; I can't just call him and say, "hey Joe, you wanna go get a drink?"

Angelos update. Sorry, was only able to do one page for today. I seriously underestimated how hard it would be to draw a battle; it's way tougher than it looks, that's for sure. I'm a little disappointed though, since I feel that it lacks that sort of desperation/franticness that should be part of a major war. I did come out cool though, so I guess I shouldn't complain.
Side note: Pyro asked on the guestbook, "when will you start doing Neo Genus updates." Well, my plan is to finish the first chapter of Angelos:TF. After that, I'm still not sure if I go on to update H.O.P.E.S. or Neo Genus. The most probable is Neo Genus, however, since I find that story a bit more intriguing. Also Pyro, the cover of Neo Genus Chapt 2 is supposed to represent a dream sequence, that's why it's a bit strange.

Hey all, turns out I had a bad case of Laringitis, so I was pretty much out the whole week . I started feeling better around late last night, meaning I had to go to work today (I'm still taking a whole bunch of antibiotics; I think I have like 3 more days to go). I feel bad about missing the two updates this week, so I'm going to try real hard to have two pages done for you on Monday.
On a side not, Lucifer's Helper asked this question on the guestbook:
Why do the people have non-existent pupils and irises in Angelos: the Fallen?
In my Angel universe, Angels don't have pupils/irises (that's why their eyes are blank) and the reason for this is because, unlike us, who's vision is basically uni-directional, Angels can see everything in their field of view with perfect clarity. For those who are going, huh?, look at one direction right now. Now, you notice that you can see everything right in front of you nice and clear, but not on the left and right side of your field of vision; those two sides are a bit unfocused until you move your eyes to that direction. Angels, however, can see everything on their field of vision with the same clarity throughout.

Angelos update.
On a side note. Today, after 6 years of having not used one, I had the chance to try out a Macintosh computer. While I was browsing, I decided to see what my page would look like on a Mac; it turns out the page comes out a bit screwed up, with some of the links appearing on top. I apologize to any Mac user that has visited my site, but I regret to inform you that there is no way I can fix that error. I don't have the slightest clue why that is happening, since my code is pretty clean. It probably has to do with some Mac essential differences that I would have no idea how to address.
Also, I checked out my page with Netscape navigator, and that was nasty. For some reason, it doesn't load the index page, except the exchange banner. You can, however, move the mouse around blindly, and you will see some links kind of pop up. Following them leads you to other parts of the site, that for some reason, do come out fine. Once again, I apologize to anyone who uses Netscape, but unfortunately, my site is made for IE.

Angelos update. Also, I was planning on doing a sort of "Angel Ranks" page to sort of illustrate the levels Angels have in my universe, but I decided not to. Instead, I'm going to do it right here:
The order is pretty simple.
Seraphims: Rank 1. Leaders and Generals, closest to the source; endowned with special abilities, such as limited future sight, inner fire, and holy spirit. Most prominent features, 4 wings and the Seraphim insignia(a Sword with four wings)
Archangels: Rank 2. Legion commanders, involved with the protection of Heaven's multiple planes of existence against the Noctics. Most prominent feature, grafted metal hand.
Cherubs: Rank 3. Seraphim bodyguards; their entire purpose is to provide protection for their Seraphim Generals. Most prominent feature, all Cherubs have curly hair.
Angels: Rank 4. Soldiers, workers, civilians. They are the general population, often involved in different tasks in no particular order or position.

On other news, I've created my own webcomic Exchange, called DOA. So far, I have two members(plus, I'm hoping 9th Elsewhere will join-she hasn't answered my email yet). You can see it right on top of the page btw. Most of what you will see however, is something saying Place holder, because they haven't finished their banners yet, but the drop down menu works, and it will lead you to some very nifty comics. Also, if you got a comic and want to join the exchange, then check out the rules on the D.O.A site

Minor cosmetic updates. First off, I finally moved some of my older news to the archive, since this page was getting way too big. I think it was almost up to 100kb. Yikes!
Secondly, I have updated the art section. Not with anything new, just added the ninja, elvoni, the Angelos' poster, and the TS fan art.
Now, on the small chance that someone actually reads the news. I have a question for you: Would you want me to add a Guest art section to the site? I mean, I added a guest book and a tag board, but they have barely been used, so I don't want to add yet another section that will never be used. I know people visit my site, but I'm not sure if I have any regulars who would actually submit guest art. If you want to voice an opinion or just vote, follow this link: Poll

Angelos:The Fallen page update today. It's great to finally get back into this story; it's my most ambitious one, because it has an incredibly enormous arching storyline. How did I come up with such a big story? Hehe..it's mostly a way to sort of stick it to my dad, who is a total religious zealot, and made me read the Bible when I was small ;) Well dad, here is my take on Creation and Angels ;p
In case you haven't NOTICED, I have moved into a twice-a-week updating schedule. I should remain so, barring any unforseen acts of God, or any other extraneous source. Tootles.

Ok, here we go. I uploaded the Cover of Neo Genus Chapter TWO. After tossing and turning around for an idea for this cover, I finally got a breakthrough on Friday and the rest just flowed right along. It came out pretty nice, I think; I was thinking of coloring it, but I felt that a black, white, and halftone would do it more justice.
Also, now that I'm downshifting on the Neo Genus story, I have to begin reacquainting myself with the Angelos' story once again. It's kind of hard though, since I have all the Neo Genus ideas floating in my head, while I'm trying to concentrate on the Angelos storyline. Oh well, have no fear, you will see an update Monday.

Neo Genus update. So, that makes two updates this week, and I didn't find it that difficult. Next week is the last test run of the double updates, and if I feel comfortable with it, I will switch to TWICE a week updates.
On a different note, I'm kind of proud of the latest update. I really did outdo myself with some of the geometry and linear perspective in some panels. Many of you are going to go "HUH?" on that last panel, but you'll get your answers later. If it helps, those phrases represent some of his memories, in no particular order; pay attention to those memories, because they will mean something in future chapters.

For some reason, I've been hit by a drawing bug; well, actually I know the reason, it's mostly because I've recently watched the "You are under Arrest" OAVs and the movie, that I've become inspired. What that means exactly? Well, if you've noticed, I've added a Characters section, on which I plan to give detailed bios for the characters in all my comics; this will give you lots of background story and insights into the character themselves. So far, I've added 2 characters: Sherry Lynn, and Meigui from Neo Genus. To put icing on the cake, the bios include a FULLY COLORED DRAWING of the characters. And if I do say so myself, they came out totally awesome ;)
Also, I've almost finished another Neo Genus page, meaning that tomorrow you will get an early update!! Yep, you are getting a Saturday update, and then another Monday update. Wow, I'm good ;).

I added a Tag Board today. Why? I have no idea actually, seeing as to how I rarely get anyone to post on Guestbook and forum. It's mostly to have it in my page; I've never used one, and I want to see how it works. BTW, it's only accessible from the main page.

Being late last week screwed up my entire schedule. I apologize for being late yet again. Next update should be on Monday, however.
Also, I'm going to be doing a special request drawing for someone that emailed me, so I'll be posting that drawing so that you can see it too. Expect it sometime this week.

Arrgh...very sorry for this late update. No excuses really, except that I got tied up with other affairs. Well, to make it up, I'm going to try my hardest to bring you another update of Neo Genus this Friday. As for personal news: I am going to be hired as a substitue teacher ;) Can you believe that? Never in a million years did I think I would be one, but heck, it's a job and I sure need one.

Well, I almost thought I wasn't going to update today, but I dragged my sorry carcass and forced myself ;) Why you ask? One word: Xenosaga. Yep, I got that sweet RPG about 4 days ago and it has gotten most of my attention since. This game is just plain awesome; if you enjoy RPGs and you have a PS2, I recommend you get this game. The storyline is so complex and interesting, it's like I'm playing an anime. The character models and the overall style of the game, also scream anime. Anyway, going back to play. Laterz all.

Another update for my adoring fans ;) LOL. Anyway, page 16 of Neo Genus is up. That means I'm pretty close to finishing Chapter 1. Wooho! After Neo Genus' first chapter is done, I'm going to focus a bit more on Angelos: The fallen and Hopes, and then back to Neo Genus.
Oh, btw, tomorrow is my birthday. Wish me the best :)

Well, what do you know...a friday update! Anyway, in case I haven't mentioned it before, Neo Genus Rending is a sort of side story of Neo Genus. Considering that I'm still working on introducing Neo Genus itself, and the Rending story takes place much, much later, there is no point in trying to update that becaue of spoilers. However, that doesn't mean I can't make a SNEAK Preview of it ;) That's right: Today and Tomorrow, I will be updating Neo Genus Rending with the two intro pages, which will sort of set the story and leave you wanting for more!
The next strip of Neo Genus is right on schedule for Monday, plus, becuase I had a couple of interviews(job) this week, the Funny strip got pushed back to Monday-Tuesday. Meaning that you could get hit with two, read it, TWO strips on Monday. Wow, I'm on fire.

Edit(2/18 17:28): My interview was cancelled today (due to the snow), so I do have time to post ;) Anyways, I see that the MacHall ad machine still works great. I got more hits today, than I usually do in a week. WOOt! I just hope some of you liked my site enough to bookmark it and come back now and then. ;) BTW, if it is not too much to ask, I would like to get some feedback on what you guys think about my comics/website. If you have a few seconds to spare, post on the Forum or even email me. Thanks and laterz....
Ok, first of all, this is an early(early) Tuesday update, because I don't think I'll be around tomorrow to do it.
Anyway, today is the day my ad on Machall runs, so I can assume I'm getting a whole bunch of new visitors. I just want to say, Welcome all!
Also, I figured you guys might be interested in looking at an extended version of the Ad. This ad also has some images of things to come :) So, without further ado, check it out:

Great news. Finally, the DNS caching is reset and the domain switch is completed. Now I have to make sure every link is working. If it's not asking too much, can you guys post on the feedback section of the Forum telling me if you encountered a broken link? I'm going to do my best to find the ones that don't work, but your help would sure be appreciated. BTW, you don't have to register, just guest post. Thanks
Well, I should have plenty of time, considering we got pummeled with a major snow storm. I think right now we have about 2 feet? Who knows, but I'm not going outside to check ;)
The strip is on time, btw, and I should be uploading it sometime this afternoon.
Edit: Like I promised, the new page is uploaded and ready to be viewed.

Well, today I visitied my old website; something I made back when I was in high school. And to my surprise, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was ;)
It's amazing how nostalgic you get when going back to something you did so long ago. The time sure does fly, doesn't it. Anyway, what this means is that I've updated the Links page and added my old site (about Macross Plus), plus I've also added a link to the first fanfic I ever wrote, which was based on the Matrix.

Gomen once again o_o! I was supposed to have a special Funny Strip today, but I didn't have a chance to finish it. The reason? Well, my friend got 2 free passes to watch the screening of the new Kevin Spacey movie (I forget its name, but it's the one when he's convicted of some kind of murder) in the Lincoln Center, NYC. So, I didn't have time to work on it today. And in a few minutes I have to go somewhere else, arrgh.
Tomorrow, I promise I will update it.

Sorry for the late(night) update, but I was busy the whole day today. I finally got a chance to upload the page and post it on the site. Enjoy.
Also, I got some exciting news: Recently, I've been talking with Frosty(nickname) and he has agreed to be the script writer for the Funny Strip comics. I felt that I needed a separate writer, because I'm not the funniest guy, and The Funny Strip is supposed to be funny. We have worked out the next script and I'm in the process of finishing it, meaning that tomorrow, you guys will get a special update of the Funny Strip.

Well, what can I say? Yesterday was a sad day for all of us. The destruction of the Shuttle craft Columbia hit me like a ton of bricks.
Apparently I, like many Americans, have become accustomed to NASA being around that we forget what a dangerous job those guys do, in order to further advance the boundaries of humanity. I know it is the price we pay for progress, but I still feel for the families of those brave astronauts. I hope that I will never again take NASA's Space program for granted.

Lots of updates today. I updated the Links page, News Archive(sort of-at least added a temporary page ;), and due to the overwhelming demand to find out more about the legendary, charismatic, daring creator of the comics by you, the viewers........
Ah, who am I kidding. Anyway, I did add an About me page, but it will only be accesible through the main page.
Extra late night update: I just finished another picture which I've submitted to DeviantArt; it's pretty good if I do say so myself.

Yey, my comics got approved by OnlineComics.net so if you have the time, vote for my comics. Mmm..I guess I should have a direct vote button. I'll get around doing that later I guess.
Also, I need to send a shout out to Rekka from SkyFall Manga because she has graciously linked me. Whoever reads this, and has not seen SkyFall yet, go there NOW! Her site has some of the best art I've seen out there, and her storyline is extremely engrossing.
P.S. I've noticed sometimes I get my days mixed up; please forgive that minor flaw (sometimes I just cut and paste some of my code and I forget to modify it)

It's been a tough week. With my mom being in the hospital, having to look after my sister's annoying kids, and my own financial constrains (and just when 3 games I want are coming out to boot-Xenosaga, .Hack, and Generals).
Regardless, I've been able to keep on schedule, so Monday's page is almost done. I'm quite proud of myself actually, because now I'm managing my time a whole lot better. Maybe once I get used to it, I'll update twice a week!! Do I dare dream ;)

Well, today I was looking at my site when I noticed a descrepancy in my coding for some pages. Apperantly, a lot of them were missing links, so I basically went back and fixed about 30+ pages. I tell you, it was not pretty. It took me the better part of two hours to finish fixing them.
I also noticed another fault in my setup. It seems I've been forgetting to update the link "Latest" when you are browsing the comics, (i.e., I had the "latest" link for Page 6 oF Neo Genus going to Page 7, when the latest is actually Page 9) Thus, I've realized that going through every single page, everytime I update, is going to be a pain (for me).
So, I've decided to make it easier on you and me: I will list the latest Page for each of my web comics on the main page. (check it out, it's up on the top^). Hopefully, that'll make it easier for you guys to get at the latest strip.
